Sidprint, a boutique digital print shop located in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Que., has purchased what it says is Canada’s second Duplo DDC-810 Spot UV Coater.

After setting up his business with an initial suite of finishing equipment from Sydney Stone in 2012, owner Danny Figueiredo recently turned to Sydney Stone to make further upgrades to his finishing department. Along with the DDC-810, Figueiredo also upgraded his handfed booklet-maker to the Duplo 150i digital booklet-making system.

“The Duplo DDC-810 fits with our philosophy oriented towards a completely personalized design and print experience. For us, the customer relies on our attention to detail and personal service to make their project more than just an impression on paper. The Duplo DDC-810 Spot UV allows us to offer the next level of possibilities for our clients,” says Figueirdo.

The Duplo DDC-810 boasts an accurate camera image registration system, compact footprint, reliable Duplo air suction feeder, and quick installation.

“When compared to other like units in the market the DDC-810 is priced at a lower capital cost, has a smaller foot print yet comparable output quality. This type of technology is finally becoming attractive for companies looking to get started in the market place for material that is embellished and eye catching. This is our second installation of the Duplo DDC-810 Spot UV Coater and we expect the market opportunities to only increase,” says Michael Steele of Sydney Stone.
