Spicers Canada acquires Duroflex Specialty Papers, a distributor of specialty products to the graphic arts industry.

Privately owned and located in Mississauga, Ont., Duroflex has operated for 22 years with a focus on delivering unique product solutions and service excellence with a sincere alignment to its customers’ distinct needs.

“Acquiring Duroflex will extend available solutions within our paper and specialty product segments, benefitting both companies’ customer and supply partners,” said Cory Turner, president of Spicers Canada.

He added the acquisition of Duroflex fits with the organization’s strategy to continue to focus on its core strength as a respected partner to Canada’s graphic arts industry while identifying opportunities to expand its customer base and deliver comprehensive solutions across multiple product strategies.

Duroflex President Kevin Gibb added, “This is a win-win for all parties. Our customers will continue to be serviced with our commitment and standards of excellence, and now they will have a wider range of products and services that they can access in this ever-changing industry.”

Duroflex will initially operate independently while it is determined how best to align its customers’ needs to Spicers logistics capabilities across its extensive distribution platform.
