Emerging technologies in focus: Canadian printers discuss the future

With Drupa 2024 just six months away, CPIA has organized an engaging virtual event highlighting some of the most innovative technologies impacting our industry today.

Leading Drupa 2024 exhibitors from Heidelberg, Komori, HP and Muller Martini will present their emerging and available offerings on Wednesday, November 29, 2-3:30pm EST.

This will be followed by a panel discussion focussed on the perspectives of four leading Canadian printers on how these and other emerging technologies will impact their business in 2024 and beyond.

Presenters and panelists include:

  • Tim Stefl, commercial category manager, HP;
  • Chris Ownby, graphics centre demonstrator, Komori;
  • Harold Hoff, VP-sales and service Canada, Heidelberg;
  • Carlos Martins, solutions manager, Muller Martini;
  • Stan Potma, VP-operations, Hemlock Printers;
  • Jamie Barbieri, president, PDI;
  • Ted Gortemaker, VP-operations, Premier; and
  • Jerry Malfara, senior director of operations and innovation, Bellwyck Packaging Solutions.

The panel discussion will address questions like:

  • What are the most transformative technologies you see emerging impacting our industry over the next  five years?
  • How will these emerging technologies change our industry?
  • Where do you see the impact of AI on print technologies and processes?

  • What benefits do you receive from attendance?
  • What recommendations would you have to printers who are weighing their next investment?
