March 12, 2020  By PrintAction Staff

In proof that attending a trade show can pay off, Spanish label printer TEA Adhesivos Industriales made a big acquisition during Labelexpo Europe, purchasing three digital label printing and finishing machines from Rotocon Europe.

TEA bought a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV, a Rotocontrol Ecoline RDF-350 digital label converting and finishing system, and a Rotocontrol Ecoline RSH-440 for booklet inspection.

The deal was secured on the Rotocontrol stand during Labelexpo Europe, and all three machines are installed and in full production.

TEA has 30 years’ experience in the industrial labelling industry, and expanded into booklet label production in 2017 by purchasing a Rotocontrol BL-series booklet label machine fully equipped with a flexo unit, Longford International OS700X triple motor surge feeder, glue applicator, lamination in registration, and die cutting unit.

TEA is also making an entry into short-run digital label printing with the purchase of the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label press, to increase service to their customers with a system that offers a range of inkjet label applications and quick turnaround. The purchased Rotocontrol RDF-350 system provides fast converting and finishing of jobs from their Truepress inkjet press.

“Both Rotocontrol Ecoline investments provide us with reliable, fast job setup equipment at an affordable price,” said Alejandro Trigueros, TEA’s managing director.

Rotocon Europe is a subsidiary of Rotocon, headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa. Founded in 2008, Rotocon provides consulting and service to South Africa label and package printers and converters.
