Global Graphics Software, a Cambridge, UK-based developer of core technology for digital print, has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

The company has been recognised for its excellence in innovation and is one of 220 organizations nationally to receive a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

In a statement, Global Graphics said the award recognizes the company’s development of ScreenPro, a screening software that corrects quality defects that occur due to the physics of jetting ink onto substrate. “ScreenPro is effective in single pass and multi pass inkjet printing using any electronics or printheads and can be applied to any workflow,” the company said. “It is now in use in several applications including wall coverings, textiles, ceramics, packaging, flooring and labels.”

Global Graphics’ roots are in Cambridge and go back to 1986. The company sells technology to press manufacturers across the world, such as HP, Roland, Durst, Kodak and Canon.

Global Graphics plans to celebrate its award during a royal reception for Queen’s Awards winners in the summer, and later in the year a celebration for all employees at its Cambourne head office.
