Weimer to Lead Heidelberg USA

September 6, 2011  By

Current President of Heidelberg Mexico, Harald Weimer, is set to take over Heidelberg USA before the end of the year, following the retirement of James Dunn, who has led the unit for the past seven years.

“Now is an appropriate time for me to turn over the leadership of the company to Harald Weimer,” stated Dunn. “Harald is an outstanding choice, and I’m sure there will be a smooth transition. He has my full and enthusiastic support.”

Weimer, 47, began his career with Xerox in 1993 as a sales representative and was promoted to a sales manager position in 1996. He joined Heidelberg in 1998 as a sales manager in Germany, and then in 2001, he was appointed Business Driver for Digital Printing for Germany and Switzerland.

In 2004, Weimer was named as lead for West Region of the German Sales and Service Unit, which he maintained until moving to Mexico. He studied Industrial Engineering at FHTE.

“I want to thank Jim for his dedicated service to both Heidelberg and the print media industry over the past 34 years,” said Heidelberg CEO Bernhard Schreier. “We are also very pleased that Harald will take up the task of guiding the sales and service activities in the U.S. market. Harald’s many years of experience with the print media industry will serve him well in this capacity.”
