Xerox to end manufacturing iGen 5 presses

May 3, 2024  By PrintAction Staff

As part of its reinvention, Xerox is changing its product portfolio. It plans to focus on creating solutions workflow automation, intelligent assistant services, and personalization through its suite of Xerox FreeFlow Workflow Software, Predictive AI Pro and XMPie.

It plans to discontinue the manufacture of its iGen 5 and Nuvera presses, two legacy platforms. Order fulfillment for iGen and Nuvera is expected to continue through 2024 or while inventory lasts.

It’ll continue offering the Iridesse production press, Versant press and the PrimeLink digital printers, which has been made possible due to a recent multi-year contract with Fujifilm Business Innovation. Xerox will continue taking and fulfilling orders and providing life-of-contract support for the cut sheet Xerox Baltoro HF Inkjet Press.

Additionally, Xerox recently entered into an agreement with a third-party provider of high-speed continuous feed inkjet for Xerox clients who require high-volume continuous feed printing.
