DIA Hosts Print Buyer Panel

April 21, 2014  By PrintAction Staff

The Digital Imaging Association last week focused its regular meeting around a panel of print buyers, sharing their views of the industry and how printers can best work with them.

The hour-long panel discussion, moderated by Bob Weller, Senior Account Representative with Transcontinental Printing, drew in close to 100 graphic communications professionals. The panel touched on a range of topics from pure marketing communications and direct mailing to packaging and corporate purchases, as well as trends in the print buyer’s world, modern services, and the impact of social media on print volume.

Members on the panel included Paul Breadner, Account Executive with SGS Packaging; David Christensen of Chriscom Marketing Communications; Brenda Rusnell of Blakely Inc.; and Jill St. John, Channel Marketing Manager for Konica Minolta Canada.

The next DIA event, scheduled for May 21 (7:00 pm to 8:30 pm) at Konica Minolta’s offices in Mississauga, features Daniel Dejan of Sappi who will discuss how printing companies can leverage Augmented Reality. The DIA is also hosting its annual golf tournament on June 5 at the St. Andrew’s Valley golf course in Aurora. See PrintAction’s events page for more details.
