Hemlock Printers in Burnaby, B.C., is the site of the first Canon Texas high-speed flatbed press in Canada. The Texas printer is built by Ronik.

The installation marks a new milestone in a long-standing relationship between Canon and Hemlock Printers. PrismTech Graphics, which Hemlock acquired in 2020, has used several Canon solutions including Canon’s Arizona and Colorado presses.

Hemlock had long considered retiring its legacy inline screen press. This older technology posed two major issues for Hemlock. First, the physical size and secondly, experienced staff to run the screen press where becoming harder to find.

After live demonstrations, extensive testing, ROI analysis, and total cost of ownership evaluations, Hemlock determined the Texas printer was the right fit. The decision to invest was made in June 2025, and installation is currently underway at Hemlock’s 30,000-sf production facility in Burnaby.
