Montreal’s Quadriscan opts for HP Indigo

“In search to replace some of our older equipment, we still can’t believe how HP is still ahead and technology leader of this industry. We have been looking at other digital solution to take the business to the next level, but HP is one of its kind and we will not need to explain to any of our customers about the difference between our digital and offset quality,” said Roger Blanchette, President of Quadriscan. “With the HP Indigo press, we can offer through G7 certified digital printing, while offering better environmental sustainability.”

The press is the only one who can support seven colours expanded gamut and print Pantone and silver using translucent ink, according to HP.

In addition to the two new 7900 installed in July 2019, Quadriscan owns an HP Indigo 12000 B2 size format. All are commercial digital printing presses are carbon neutral, offering reduced production waste, and energy efficiency with an on-press recycling system.

The two new HP Indigo 7900 at Quadriscan are equipped with a range of capabilities, including special effects printing with raised and textured print, HP Indigo One Shot printing on synthetic substrates, and seven ink stations to support Pantone gamut and special spot colours such as white, silver, florescent and security inks.

Founded in 1991, Quadriscan started with prepress services and drum scanning and has grown to become a full-service commercial printing house. It is one of HP largest Indigo users in Canada and the largest in the Quebec province.
