Moyer Printing Installs DigiXpress

June 5, 2012  By

North Bay’s Moyer Printing has installed a DigiXpress system on its plant floor, which includes traditional offset and toner-based presses. Founded in 1982, Moyer primarily focuses on providing services for both French and English customers in the North Bay region.

Purchased through Pressdown Services (PDS), DigiXpress is described as an envelope feeding system, but it works with a range of applications and substrates like post cards, labels, banners and card stock up to 14 points. It feeds sizes from 3 x 5 inches up to 12 x 18 inches. In addition to duplex printing, DigiXpress also features scan, fax and email capabilities.

In a single pass, DigiXpress can produce around 50 full-colour, personalized envelopes per minute, or up to 36 full-colour 11 x 8.5-inch pages per minute (40 ppm in monochrome). The system has a print resolution of 1,200 x 600 dpi and a monthly duty cycle of 150,000 pages.
