Ian Campbell, owner of a Kwik Kopy franchise in Toronto, recently added two pieces of finishing equipment, purchased from Sydney Stone. A new Morgana DigiFold PRO and Matrix-370 laminator will improve the company’s postpress work.
The franchise previously faced difficulties in folding full cover brochures, leading to cracking. The DigiFold PRO, using a crease matrix and flying knife-fold technology, helps to eliminate the problem. Campbell says he also saw an opportunity in the lamination market, leading to the purchase of the Matrix 370, which has a 15-inch laminating film width and programmable sheet register and overlap.
“The Matrix-370 gives such a flawless finish, and really adds value to my current production. Considering how easy it is to use, there’s really no reason for me to go to a trade laminator now,” said Campbell.
