Karg Begins Tokyo Assignment

May 17, 2011  By

Tony Karg, Director of Business Development and Marketing at Fujifilm Canada Graphic Systems, this week began a 2-month assignment at Fujifilm’s corporate office in Tokyo. The company would not release any details about Karg’s assignment in Japan, but he is expected to return for a second Tokyo stint at the end of 2011.

Prior to his current position, Karg served as Product Marketing Manager with the Graphics Systems division of Fujfilm Canada, as well as its Product Manager for the division’s Digital Workflow operations. In addition to working at the Tokyo head office, Karg will also access the recently developed Fujifilm Advanced Research Laboratories (FARL).

Measuring 56,000 square metres and employing around 600 people, FARL was opened in 2006 to investigate Fujifilm’s interests in organic synthesis, thin multi-layer coatings, precision micro-machining, lens design, lasers, printing, and image processing. FARL is divided into four interconnected laboratories, including the Advanced Marking Research Laboratory that focuses on printing technology.
