Great Signs and Graphics of Welland, Ontario, is now running an HP Scitex FB500 wide-format system to boost its specialty production of display and outdoor signage.
“We’re a small print shop serving clients of all sizes – from small businesses to large organizations – and we needed a printing infrastructure that would give us the versatility to service this diverse group,” stated Dennis Rogers, owner of Great Signs and Graphics, in relation to the company’s new Scitex purchase.
With the installation of the Scitex FB500, Great Signs states it plans to enter new markets like home décor, such as printing on doors and ceiling tiles, and the wedding services business. The Scitex FB500 is capable of printing work of up to 163 centimeters wide and 5.08 cm thick on a range of rigid or flexible medias. Since the installation, the company explains it has seen a 20 percent increase in its overall business.
