Jigsaw Imaging of Mississauga boosts its large-format production capabilities with a 64-inch HP Scitex FB500 system, which allows for continuous-feed through automated loading.
Jigsaw Imaging, which was formerly known as Rainbow Digital Imaging, has been producing large-format graphics for more than 25 years. According to John Spear, President of Jigsaw, the new Scitex FB500 has expanded the company’s ability to print on corrugated and translucent materials
“We’re able to print and load simultaneously,” said Spear, making note of the FB500’s continuous-feed feature. “When we put substrates down on the printer’s table, while one is feeding, you can get the next substrate ready. We don’t lose any time between pieces.”
The HP Scitex FB500 produces a top resolution of up to 1,200 x 6,00 dpi. Employing 12 print heads (variable drop size) in a six-colour system, the device reaches a top speed of 398 f2/hr.
